Stays where you put it
Every note and board remembers its virtual desktop, even after a restart. Give a whole desktop to a project and it's still set up that way tomorrow.
Desktop App
Sticky notes that look like paper and stay on the desktop you put them on.
I wanted one desktop just for sticky notes, and for it to still be set up that way tomorrow. Most sticky-note apps either follow you onto every desktop or pile up on whichever one is open. So I built my own, for Mac and Windows: notes that remember where they belong, corkboards to pin them to, and enough paper and ink that it feels like the real thing.

Every note and board remembers its virtual desktop, even after a restart. Give a whole desktop to a project and it's still set up that way tomorrow.
Drag a note onto a board to pin it, drag it past the edge to tear it off. Tie notes together with red string, detective-board style. When a board's in the way, fold it up into a strip with just its name.
Eight paper colours, nine pens from Sharpie to fountain pen, ink that soaks in as you type, doodles, and notes that slowly yellow and curl if you ignore them.
No account and nothing sent anywhere. Back up to your own Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or iCloud folder with one click, or daily.
The app isn't signed with a paid Apple certificate yet, so macOS checks with you once before it opens. It takes about a minute.
Open the file you downloaded and drag Stika Notes onto the Applications folder.
The first time, macOS says it couldn't verify the app. That's expected, so click Done.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll down to Security and click Open Anyway.
Use Touch ID or your password. If macOS asks once more, click Open Anyway. From then on it opens like any other app.
The Windows version is new and isn't signed with a paid certificate yet, so your browser and Windows double-check it the first time. Tell me if anything misbehaves.
If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose to keep it. In Edge: ··· → Keep → Show more → Keep anyway.
Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” box. Click More info, not Don't run.
The publisher shows as unknown because the app isn't signed yet. Click Run anyway.
The installer takes a few seconds and doesn't need admin rights. Then Stika Notes is in your Start menu.
A Rust core places each note on its virtual desktop and keeps everything in a local SQLite file. The paper, pens and boards are Svelte.
